Spirit Bear Cloud Catcher "Snoopy"

My sweet boy Spirit Bear Cloud Catcher "Snoopy" is in Texas living with Suzan Frazier, Corporate sales manager for Pure Paws Inc. The number one dog grooming supply company in the USA. He is living with her for one year when he will be her demonstration dog at dog shows to show how Pure Paws can effectively benefit long hair breed dogs. He will also be shown in the USA while down there. Suzan has had him for almost two months and already he looks amazing. I will be sharing information from Suzan regarding grooming tips here and also giving updated stories on Snoopy's travels. This is very exciting to have Snoopy in the USA doing this as he will certainly help raise the profile of Coton de Tulears in a positive way. Thank you to Adrianne Dering of Hopecrest Cotons who owns Cotonkiss Versace who is the father of Snoopy for putting me in touch with Suzan at Pure Paws Inc. Suzan has been fabulous sending me reports on Snoopy and tells me he follows her everywhere and sleeps in her bed....so he is being spoiled rotten that is for sure. I miss my Snoopy but having a company taking an interest in the coat of the Coton de Tulear is very exciting as all owners weather companion owners or breeders, we all desire to learn how to keep out dogs coats healthy and YES white! Suzan has shared a lot with me already and if you look beneath the photos you will see information regarding how to wrap the Coton hair. More stories and photos of Snoopy to follow in the coming months. See directions for each photo below....

It is very important that individuals who elect to wrap their exhibit realize that this procedure is not to be left in for extended periods of time (I do it daily, but recommend not more than 48 hours for most exhibits).

Wrapping is only recommended if the individual is willing to be deligient in maintaining; otherwise they will do more damage to the hair than simply leaving it unwrapped.  Most dogs do not bother with their wraps provided they are comfortable.  Too close to skin or too tight of banding can cause discomfort.

The bands should be small latex only.  To remove the bands I use a seamstress seam ripper (which I will get a pic of tomorrow to show how I remove the band easily without damaging hair (to be Wrap Step 15).

When re-wrapping between bathes, I always recommend that they spray their pin brush with a finish spray, brush through the hair and re-wrap immediately.  Re-wrapping is quicker than after the bath because they simply take it down and re-wrap without having to redo all of the parting procedures.

Last attachment is comments for the individual steps.

Really pleased with the amount of coat growth on tail plume and rear legs :))))

Hugs from the Snoop Dog!
